Irene, from Southwestern British Columbia, Canada, has always been a lover of nature and its beauty. Over the years she created paintings, knitting and crocheting - even crocheted flowers. She considers her original art work a tribute to the wonders of nature. While watching a travel show on television, a small gift shop in Northern British Columbia was featured. One of the items Irene loved was a beaded hummingbird, so Irene searched for the pattern and taught herself how to create crafts with beads.

Years later, Irene still works with the beautiful patterns she found at Unique Beaded Jewelry, and also designs her own - creating birds, butterflies, flowers, animals, and more with beads. This evolved from a hobby into a small home-based business, named Crafty Creations by Irene. Additionally, Irene also makes beautiful scarves and purses from patterns designed by Swallow Hill Creations.

Irene has original scarves she designed and sells those patterns also.

Creativity runs in the family! Irene's sister, artist Donna Smallenberg, designs beautiful Christian symbolic paintings and art in original e-cards, limited editions, posters and art card formats.

The pictures depicted are samples of Irene's work over the past 10 years. Some have been sold, but can be made again if you like an item that you see. Irene adds new items all the time and is always working on ideas for new beaded projects. She is also open to suggestions of something you might like to see depicted in her bead artwork.

Just go to the contact page and drop her a line. She'd love to hear from you.
